U-GOT-A-COACH

NORWESCAPNORWESCAP’s Career & Life Transitions Center for Women in New Jersey has partnered with Lifescapes Professional Coaching, LLC to provide free coaching services for displaced homemakers who are returning to the workforce after the death or disability of a spouse, or following a divorce, separation or abuse.   Lifescapes is working with a team of volunteers who are certified in a variety of coaching acumen and backgrounds. Pam Duda’s purpose for offering this program is merely to “Pay it Forward”. She believes displaced homemakers struggle to survive financially due to lack of technical and professional skills, but they also must overcome the emotional distress that comes as a result of it. Adding a supplemental coaching program to the quality services that NORWESCAP already provides will support the women emotionally to empower and enlighten them to gain the courage and confidence to achieve sustainable positive results in their lives. They will receive one-on-one personal guidance to put all of the information they have received into action; hence increasing the rate of financial success for them and the Center. NORWESCAP is a non-profit community action agency established in 1965 that creates opportunities for over 30,000 low-income people in northwest New Jersey by providing a large portfolio of self-sufficiency and emergency services. The mission of NORWESCAP is “Fighting Poverty. Creating Opportunities. Changing Lives.”NORWESCAP’s Career & Life Transitions Center for Women serves women in Hunterdon, Warren, Somerset and Mercer counties in New Jersey. The goal of the Center is to assist these women to gain personal and economic self-sufficiency in order to reach their full potential through education, training, job readiness, community referrals and supportive services, such as coaching. Testimonial

“Pam Duda has been a Advisory Council member of the Career and Life Transitions Center for Women since 2005. Last year Pam approached me with an innovative idea she had to assist our clients who are in transition. Since that time, Pam has developed an extraordinary program named “U-GOT-A-COACH” program that has provided individual coaching services to our clients free of charge. The program Pam created has supported many women through the process of successfully achieving their specific personal goals. Volunteering her services to implement this program, Pam has recruited numerous coaches to participate in this program. Based upon the success, appreciation and the high satisfaction feedback reported by participants, the CLTC hopes to offer this program a fourth time this Fall. Pam is detail oriented, highly organized and efficient and goes out of her way to assist others – we don’t know what we would do without Pam’s active support of our center.
